Still under renovation

Harry Potter and the Cheesy Ending

To those who haven’t read it yet, Voldemort actually “defects” from all his Horcruxes and all his evil what-have-you, and they all lived happily ever after....

Nah, just yanking your chain, mate, I won’t fall into that annoying cliché of excited fanboy posting spoilers all over the net. They’re among the lowest life-forms that have ever existed on earth, so it’s only natural that they whore around and grab every opportunity to alleviate their pathetic existence.

But to tell you the truth, I think I would have actually preferred that ending over the one J.K. wrote. Now that may sound going way too far, sure, the end was quite fine, in fact it was superb. It resolved every question I had on the series, and shed light on all those snippets of mysteries that actually form the big picture. My only problem was the Epilogue. It seemed so anticlimactic to read those last few pages of the supposed LAST (I do hope they keep their word on this one) installment. But then again, that may have been the exact purpose of that Epilogue, to leave no open doors, to make sure that all speculations to an end and wave farewell to everyone who scratched their head at every book.

So the tale of Harry Potter ends, a tale spanning the last six years of my life, a tale that I knew helped keep that inner child intact, and a tale who robbed me a thousand pesos with every book. ;P
