Still under renovation

Summer bids Farewell

Alas! June is upon us, and with it, the unofficial end of summer. Thus, farewell to beach shindigs, week-long mall sprees, and countless hours of free time spent on indolent dozing and nonsense ponderings. I still, however, need to come up with a productive way to waste (pun intended) the remaining 12 days of my summer vacation, aside from being cemented in front of either the TV or the PC.

Summer has been a blast, and not in the sense of a good party, but instead in that destructive nuclear fallout sense. This year's summer is probably the worst I have experienced. So, the first week was absolutely fine, but then the remote broke down, and that was when things began to screw up. A week later, four of my cousins (all children), including the one I consider to be a nemesis (now I won't explain further as to why or how it came to be, but suffice it to say that this particular one is very annoying to the extent that not even my grandma could stand her and so the reason why she was spending vacation at our place), took a vacation at our house. Now we don't live in a big mansion, so for the next 15 days, our poor house was unbelievably packed. Aside from the issue of space, privacy is also a big issue, because I can no longer workout with my weights due to the lack of private space where I can exercise without anyone disturbing me. After that quite not brief misfortune, the TV broke down. Although there's another TV at my parent's bedroom, I can't watch the primetime shows anymore because once my father is home, he assumes control of the remote to watch his favorite koreanovela(I know, heehee). And then a week later, the service entrance wire was severed by the storm Caloy, which left us the only one in our subdivision without electricity for around 18 days. And more recently, the maid resigned without prior notice, and then suddenly begged us to take her back after only a few days, my mom refused but she is still pretty much pissed off . What a swell summer, eh?

So, in a matter of a few days, I will begin a new chapter of my life, College. I still can't believe that I'm now in college, and more so, I find my schedule unbelievably light compared to my hectic high school schedule. So, I must now prepare myself to meet new people and make new friends, and I must also brace myself for an encounter with social stigma, hehe...
